1. Fair Play
MonkeyTyping provides typing tests, practice tools, challenges, and typing games. All users are expected to use the website fairly.
Play games and complete typing challenges yourself.
Automated bots, scripts, or other tools intended to generate scores or play automatically are not allowed.
Do not attempt to manipulate scores, rankings, game results, or leaderboard data.
Do not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities to gain an unfair advantage.
Do not interfere with the website's normal operation or other users' experience.
We reserve the right to take appropriate action when we identify activity that violates these rules.
2. Guest Access and Accounts
MonkeyTyping allows you to use available features as a guest or create an account.
If you create an account, you choose a username and set a four-digit PIN for logging in. Your username is used to associate supported statistics, scores, results, and progress with your account.
You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential.
3. Usernames
Choose your username carefully. Usernames may be subject to the availability and claiming rules implemented by the website.
Do not choose usernames that are abusive, misleading, impersonate another person, or violate the rights of others.
Where a username is permanently claimed to a device, it may not be available for another claim on that device. The exact behavior depends on the website's implemented account and storage system.
4. Account PIN and Recovery
Your account uses a four-digit PIN for login. You should save your username and PIN somewhere safe when creating your account.
MonkeyTyping currently does not provide a PIN recovery option. If you forget your PIN, you may be unable to access your existing account.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Do not share your PIN with others.
5. Scores, Progress, and Leaderboards
MonkeyTyping may store scores, progress, results, and leaderboard positions to support its typing games, challenges, and account features.
You must not attempt to falsify, alter, or manipulate this information. We reserve the right to review suspicious results and take appropriate action against scores or activity that violate these Terms.
We do not guarantee that all scores, progress records, or leaderboard positions will remain available indefinitely.
6. Browser Storage and Device Changes
Certain guest features may rely on browser storage to remember a player name or related game information.
Clearing browser storage or site data may remove information saved locally on your device, including a locally stored player name or progress. It may also affect your ability to access information associated with that device.
The effect of clearing browser data depends on whether the relevant information is stored locally or on our servers. Clearing browser storage does not necessarily delete server-stored account information.
7. Website Availability and Changes
We aim to keep MonkeyTyping available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The website may occasionally experience maintenance, technical issues, or service interruptions.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue website features when necessary.
8. Intellectual Property
Website content, design elements, branding, and original materials may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use MonkeyTyping for its intended personal practice and entertainment purposes. You must not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit protected website content without appropriate authorization.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
MonkeyTyping is provided for typing practice, learning, and entertainment. We do not guarantee specific typing speeds, scores, rankings, or improvements.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MonkeyTyping is not liable for losses arising from website interruptions, technical errors, unavailable features, or lost progress. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions when our features, policies, or legal requirements change. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
