PRIVACY POLICY
At MonkeyTyping, we respect your privacy. We aim to keep your experience simple and collect only the information needed to provide account-related features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how your account information is handled when you use MonkeyTyping.
1. Information We Collect
MonkeyTyping offers two ways to use the website: as a guest or by creating an account.
Using MonkeyTyping as a Guest
If you choose to play as a guest, you do not need to provide a username, PIN, email address, or other personal information to get started.
You can use the available guest features without creating an account.
Creating an Account
If you choose to create an account, we collect only the following information that you provide:
Username: You choose your own username. We use it to identify your account and associate your statistics, scores, results, and progress with it.
Four-digit PIN: You set a four-digit PIN that you use to log in to your account.
We do not ask you to provide an email address, phone number, or real name when creating an account.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your username and PIN to provide account functionality.
Your username allows us to associate your typing statistics, game scores, results, and progress with your account so that supported information can be displayed when you return or view your reports.
Your four-digit PIN is used to authenticate your login.
3. Important Information About Your PIN
When creating an account, you are advised to save your username and four-digit PIN somewhere safe.
Currently, MonkeyTyping does not offer a PIN or account recovery option. If you forget your PIN, you may not be able to access your existing account.
Please choose a PIN you can remember and keep it private. Do not share your PIN with others.
4. Guest Use and Account Data
Guest users can access available features without providing account details.
If you create an account, your username, PIN, and associated account statistics or progress may be stored to support the account features described in this policy.
Guest use and account-based use may handle progress differently, depending on the features available.
5. Personal Information We Do Not Request
When you use MonkeyTyping's standard guest or account-creation options, we do not ask you to provide personal details such as your real name, email address, phone number, or home address.
We do not intentionally request additional personal information through the account-creation process beyond your chosen username and four-digit PIN.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information associated with your account. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Please keep your PIN confidential and avoid using a username that contains personal or sensitive information.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if our website features or data practices change. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised date.
If we introduce new account features or begin collecting additional information in the future, we will update this policy to explain the relevant changes.
